At Eitje, everything revolves around the software. It has to be as robust, intuitive and visually appealing as possible. That’s the only way for a newcomer to succeed in a competitive market. This demands a certain mindset: working hard. But to be honest, we also do it because programming — under the right circumstances — is simply so much fun. We started Eitje seven years ago. We now develop the software with a team of nine and serve more than 1,500 companies. We have big plans and would love to have you on board!

The product

Eitje gives managers everything they need to manage their team members quickly and easily. With Eitje, you can schedule shifts, handle all HR tasks, and automatically train your team members. Our goal is for companies to need only one tool to manage their teams.

Why Eitje?

We are a small team with a lot of responsibility and freedom. There’s very little legacy code and minimal maintenance work, so you’ll mainly be working on exciting new projects. Our current plans include developing our own BI (Business Intelligence) system and using AI to automatically generate schedules for our customers, two projects in which you can play an important role. We also dislike meetings, preferring short conversations where we only discuss what’s truly necessary.

At Eitje, openness is key. We know that things sometimes go wrong, and we believe that acknowledging and analysing mistakes is the only way forward. We also try not to make things complicated and stay flexible: if you need something, like a last-minute weekend away, we’ll make it happen.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for a lead front-end developer with extensive experience. We work in React, so it’s important that you’re highly comfortable with it as well. Most importantly, you should enjoy solving problems and have a strong preference for well-structured systems. We’ve reached a stage where fast and hacky no longer works. You’ll also need to be independent: you will be the main point of contact for all front-end matters and, of course, for the quality of your own code.

Job requirements:

• 5 years of experience with Front-end

• 2 years of experience with React

• Willingness to work hard

• Fluent in Dutch

• University level of thinking

• Every day at the office (we do not do remote)

Plus points:

• React Native

• Native iOS/Android development

• OOP programming

• Ruby on Rails/other back-end languages

• Knowledge of Linux systems

• Knowledge of databases

• Knowledge of Git
